Edward “Turtle Man” James Palmer, 51, of Lacombe died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

Survivors include his mother, Luminder Pierre; son, Edward Jr.; sisters and 
brothers-in-law, Madeline and Dean Batiste, and Dora and Willis Williams; 
nieces, Channelle Young, Anya Johnson, Mioshi Batiste and Whitney Palmer; 
nephews, Griffin Batiste III, Thomas Palmer III, and Devonn Palmer, all of 
Lacombe, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He 
was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Palmer Sr.; brother, Thomas Palmer 
Jr.; sister, Linda Palmer, and his stepfather, Albert Pierre.

He was a life resident of Lacombe.

Funeral services will be Jan. 12 with visitation from 9-11 a.m., followed by a 
Mass at noon, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., 
Lacombe. Father Kyle David will officiate.
