Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2013/st1301.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== JOHN WILLIAM RICHTER JR., of Slidell, LA died on January 17th, 2013 at Oschner- Northshore Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 6th, 1938 in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts to Francis and John Richter, Sr. He is survived by life partner, Myra Mobley, his seven children, Patrick Richter, Brian Richter, Robert “Bob” Richter, David Richter, Kimberly Cook, Lisa Lord, and John “Jay” Richter. Also surviving are his mother Francis Richter of Clinton, Massachusetts; seven siblings, Bruce Richter, Janice Richter, Jean May, Steve Richter, Mark Richter, and Kathleen Reckner; also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His son Johnny William Richter III and his grand-daughter Nicole Michelle Jackson preceded him in death. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services will be held at First Christian Church 102 Christian Lane, Slidell, LA on Saturday, January 26th, 2013. Pastor Susan Lasalle officiating. Visitation is from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 with funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn Cemetery on Highway 190, Slidell, LA. All are invited to gather at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall after the interment.
