SELMON

Alma Lillie Jones Bagnet Selmon of Slidell died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

Survivors include her son, Willie Bagnet Jr. of Slidell; daughters, Alta Mae 
Bagnet Kirsh and Lenora Bagnet Bright of Slidell, Teresa Bagnet Route of 
Mandeville and Andrea Bagnet Jackson of Garland, Texas; sister, Mayola Walker 
Davis of Sun, and; 34 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and five great 
great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark H. Selmon; son, Larry Wayne 
Bagnet; parents, George and Florenstine Young Jones; stepmother, Elizabeth 
Walker Jones, and six sisters and three brothers.

The Sun native was retired from the Goodwill store and a former member of 
Tabernacle Baptist Church. She transferred her membership to Greater Northshore 
Full Gospel Baptist Church, where she was a church choir member and usher.

The funeral service will be Jan. 21 at 10 a.m., with visitation starting at 9 
a.m., in Greater Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church of Slidell. Bishop 
Robert J. Taylor will officiate. 

Burial will be in the Walker Young Cemetery in Sun.

Baylous Funeral Home of Picayune, Miss., is handling arrangements.
