THOMAS CLAYTON THIGPEN, JR., of Baton Rouge, LA currently residing in Slidell, 
LA, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Nell Alexander Thigpen.
Father of Thomas Keith Thigpen and wife Susan and Alex Daryl Thigpen and wife 
Minnie.
Brother of Dorothy Ratcliff and Rosie Sedberry.
Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Age 84 years; Mr. Thigpen was a retired Electricial Supervisor at Gulf States 
Utilities Co. in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a Member and Deacon at Weller Ave. and 
Brookstown Baptist Churches in Baton Rouge, LA and currently a member of First 
Baptist Church in Pearl River, LA. He served his country in the US Navy during 
the Korean Conflict.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and on Friday morning 
at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, 
LA from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm. 

Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the First Baptist Church of 
Pearl River Building Fund.
