Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Bissel Weaver; sons and daughters- in-law, John David and Claire Weaver, and Daniel and Miriam Richard Weaver; grandchildren, Susan, Richard, Joelie and John; and great-grandchildren, John Michael, Cecelia, Evan and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Hazel Venderbrook Weaver, and brothers, Fredrick, Stanley and Richard J. Weaver. The New Orleans native lived in Lacombe for the past 30 years. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired after 35 years from the American Can Company in New Orleans, where he was a millwright. He was a former member and past master of Theodore Roosevelt Lodge No. 415 and member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 8290. All services are being held privately.
