Kathleen Hennessey Whitehurst, 91, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.

Survivors include her children, Claudia Whitehurst DeVine and Greg and Glen 
Whitehurst; daughter-in-law, Debbie Buhler Whitehurst, and grandchildren, 
Jeffrey and Brad DeVine, Greg Whitehurst Jr., Shannon Whitehurst Bordes and 
Jason Whitehurst; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Tristan DeVine, and Bryce, 
Brady and Brooks Bordes, and siblings, Rosemary Hennessey Kidd and Joseph 
Hennessey. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Jelly” Whitehurst; son-in-
law, William DeVine, and brother, David Hennessey Jr.

A funeral Mass will be Jan. 9 at noon, with visitation starting at 10 a.m., at 
Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., Metairie Cemetery. 

Burial will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
