Lance Merrill Gilbert Brown, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

Survivors include his siblings, Martha, Sheryl and Rodger and Jeffrey Brown, 
and children, Eric Brown, Jonathan and Olivia Revere. The eldest son of seven 
children born to Jarvis and Mildred Brown in Bakersfield, Calif., was 
predeceased by his brothers, Steven and David Brown.

The Behrman High School graduate served as an aviation meteorologist with the 
Strategic Air Command and worked with advanced alloys at Cameron Iron Works in 
Houston and in the service industry offshore. He most recently worked as an 
engineering consultant in New Orleans on drainage and road construction 
projects.

The funeral service will be held Feb. 16 at 1 p.m., with vistiation starting at 
11 a.m., at Deliverance Tabernacle, 1303 Dupard St., Mandeville.
