She was born in New Orleans on January 20, 1926. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert S. Johnstone and Mary K. Johnstone, her infant daughter Colleen Mary, and by a sister Joyce J. Roberts. Marguerite is survived by her children Wayne W. Foley, Daniel S. Foley and wife Angela, Father Augustine Foley O.S.B., Fabienne F. Cazalé, and Glynis F. Davis and husband Charles; by grandchildren John B. Cazalé V, Erin F. Schuhmacher and husband Collin, Jennifer F. Scaljon and husband Michael, Kevin M. Cazalé and wife Lindsey , Elizabeth C. Foley, Lauren M. Davis, Kelly N. Davis, Daniel S. Foley II, Michael A. Foley; and by adoring great-grandchildren Blaize, Riley, Mary Keating, and Alex. Marguerite attended Sophie Newcomb College for Women and Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas. She received her degree in Education at Dominican College in New Orleans. She also received a Catechist Certification for Elementary and High School Religious Education from the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans. “Mrs. Foley” blessed the lives of her students and all whom she touched as a devout teacher in her long career at St. Dominic School in New Orleans. Marguerite served as a Council member and as the Prioress of the Third Order in St. Dominic’s parish. After her retirement from education Marguerite had more time to pursue her love for the fine arts through painting and poetry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 27 at St. Joseph’s Abbey, 75376 River Rd. Covington La. 70457. Visitation will be held from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. until the funeral mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Abbey ===================
