ALMA JONES HASNEY, of Hammond, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 
at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA.

Beloved wife of the late George J. Hasney, Sr.
Mother of Darleen Hasney, George Hasney, Jr. and wife Ruby, Ronald Hasney and 
wife Barbara, Tammy Tillman and husband Kenny, and Geron Hasney and wife 
Denise.
Daughter of the late Richard H. Jones and Evie S. Jones.
Sister of the late Clyde Jones, Tillie Jones, Richard Jones, and Etta Mae 
Armstrong.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great 
grandchildren, proceeded in death by 1 grandchild and also survived by her 
nephew, Michael Khairallah and wife Gail and other numerous nieces and nephews.

Age 89 years; a native of Melville, LA, a former resident of Chalmette, LA and 
a resident of Hammond, LA for the past 7 years. Mrs. Hasney was a former co-
owner of Hasney Grocery in Chalmette, LA and a former member of AARP St. 
Bernard Chapter. 

A special thanks to Mrs. Catherine Tillman for the care she provide to our mom 
in her final days.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:00pm. Officiator will be Pastor Fran 
LeBlanc.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Hasney 
Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
