He was born in Shreveport, LA on St. Patrick’s Day, 1960 to the late Daniel Joseph and Nancy Adams Mahony and has been a resident of Mandeville, LA since 1992. He cherished every moment of the past 28 years with his best friend and loving wife Alesia Johnson Mahony. He was a passionate and dedicated father to three beautiful children: Daniel J., Connor P. and Brenna V. Mahony. He is also survived by one brother, Mike Mahony and three sisters: Susan Kurzweg, Nancy Borden and Kathleen Gianetti. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Georgia Adams; paternal grandparent, Daniel and Irene Mahony and his uncle Bobby Adams. Pallbearer on Saturday will include: Pat Mitchell, John Murray, Steve White, Mike Turner, Jeff Harper, Karl Shutzman, Davis Gardner, Don McMath and David Jemison. The men of Morningside will act as honorary pallbearers. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School in Shreveport with the Class of 1978 and attended LSU, where he lived for those Saturday nights in Death Valley. He later graduated from the University of New Orleans. Kevin began a career in the Real Estate Title industry in 1995. By 1998, in a partnership at Stone Title in Mandeville, he had established himself in St. Tammany Parish as a leader in the industry. He founded Mahony Title Services in 2002 acting on his own as President and CEO. He served as President and on the board of the St. Tammany Cancer Fund and was a member of the LLTA, TAF, NABOR, the West and East St. Tammany Chambers of Commerce, the St. Tammany Parish HBA and the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He was also an active parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville. Kevin’s love for the Tigers was a part of his every endeavor. To honor that love, IT IS REQUESTED THAT PURPLE AND GOLD BE WORN BY ALL THOSE IN ATTENDENCE AND THAT LSU FLAGS BE FLOWN FROM ALL CARS IN THE PROCESSION. There has never been a more spirited LSU Fan to so proudly display that majestic purple and gold than Kevin Patrick Mahony. Relatives and friends (wearing purple and gold) are invited to attend the funeral mass to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1550 W. Causeway Approach Mandeville, LA 70448. A wake is scheduled to take place Friday, March 1st from 5-8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours at the Mary Queen of Peace will begin Saturday at 9:30 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow mass. ===================
