Survivors include her husband, Freddie Marigny of Covington; parents, James and Diane Davis of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Quinen Coleman, and Brandon and Nikilta Coleman; daughter, Kaitlynn Coleman; stepchildren, Erica, Treasure and Rueben Marigny; godchildren, Bruce Smith and Bree Daniels of Covington and Brandon Smith of Mississippi; grandchildren, De’Jha West, Ronnie West, Diamond Coleman, Heaven Coleman, Brenton Coleman and Ky’len Honors; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward Brown Jr., and Dana and Derrick Davis, and Eric and Jennifer Davis; former husband, Clarence Coleman Jr., of Covington, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her biological father, Edward Lee Brown Sr.; daughter, Del’Shawn Coleman; grandparents, Collins and Minnie; and grandmother, Katherine Davis. She was born to Edward Lee Brown Sr., and Diane Johnson Brown in Los Angeles, moving later to Covington, where her mother married James “Gus” Davis, who became her father in every sense of the word. She was from childhood a member of Bethel Reform Methodist Church, where she actively attended Sunday school, was a faithful choir member and participated in the Young People’s Department activities, including the drill team. She attended Covington High School and worked and lived in the St. Tammany Parish area. The hard worker and independent woman was employed for more than 10 years as a certified nursing assistant at Mandeville’s Heritage Manor, where her patients and co-workers came to love her dearly. The funeral will be held Feb. 23 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Bethel Reform Methodist Church, 602 W. 29th Ave., Covington. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Covington. Richardson Funeral Home of St. Tammany is handling arrangements. ===================
