MORRIS, ROBERTA ILENE 
    February 2, 2013

Roberta Ilene Morris, age 86, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on 
Saturday,February 2, 2013 at Trinity Neurologic and Rehabilitation Center. 

She leaves behind her beloved companion of 40 years, Mr. Lloyd Gausepohl, of 
Kenner, Louisiana; her sons, Jim Morris (a Computer Software Developer) and 
Leslie Thompson (a musician); and a daughter, Carol Nata (High School Math 
Teacher).

Roberta was born in Girard, Illinois on October 12, 1926 and grew up in 
Illinois.

She was the daughter of the late Minnie Roots and Walter Timmons and the 
adopted daughter of the late Astrid and Charles Seaton who raised her.

Surviving siblings include Marcia Graves, Shirley Washington, and Ladonna Lee 
Ferando; two grandchildren Lindsay van Welzen and Toni Kahl and 4 great-
grandchildren Max, Jack and Ben van Welzen and Nathan Kahl.
She will also be missed by her son and daughter-in-laws Walter Nata & Ann B. 
Morris.

Roberta worked for 20 years at the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board before 
she retired. She was an incredible person who worked to support her three 
children through great difficulties with the help of her mother-in-law, the 
late Bertha (Goggi) Strand. She moved with her children to New Orleans after 
her divorce in the sixties. She loved listening to Elvis Presley, reading 
science fiction, eating grilled cheese and playing Bingo.

Roberta will be cremated and a private memorial will be held.
