SCHEXNAYDER, MANFRED JEAN 
November 7, 1931  -  February 24, 2013

MANFRED JEAN SCHEXNAYDER, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 
2013 at his home in Slidell, LA.

Beloved husband of Sandra “Deedee” Schexnayder.
Father of Cora Long (Jaime Long) and Edward Schexnayder (Patricia Conseco).
Son of the late Edward Schexnayder and Lucille Labiche Schexnayder.
Brother of Harold Schexnayder, Lawrence Schexnayder, and the late Charles 
Schexnayder, Catherine Jones, and E.J. Schexnayder.
Also survived by 1 grandchild; Sandra Kate Long.

Age 81 years; a native of Assention Parish, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA 
since 1986. Mr. Schexnayder was a retired Latin teacher at Slidell High School 
and retired as a Franciscan Priest and Lutheran Pastor. Before his illness, he 
was very active in both the Slidell and Lacombe Art Communities.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 3:00pm. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00pm 
until 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Schexnayder may be made to 
Doctors Without Borders, St. Joseph Hospice, or Amnesty International.
