Mary Thibaut Rives passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Covington, LA. 

She was born June 16, 1925 to the late Bronier LaStrappes and Katherine Rice 
Thibaut in Napoleonville, LA.

The beloved wife of the late James D. Rives, Jr., she is survived by her 
daughter, Katherine Jane Rives; three sons: James D. III, Frank W. and Bronier 
T. Rives; one sister, Margaret T. Watson and four grandchildren. She was 
preceded in death by one sister, Katherine T. Boyce and one brother, John E. 
Thibaut.

Mrs. Rives was a dedicated parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church and worked 
tirelessly on behalf of the Republican Women’s organizations in St. Tammany 
Parish and Louisiana. She was a member of the St. Tammany Art Association and 
was a former columnist for the St. Tammany News Banner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass to be held at 
11:00 AM Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM at 
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Visitation at St. Peters Church on Monday will begin at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic 
Church or to the Humane Society of Louisiana.
