Carolyn Louise Binder Ruffino, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 28, 
2013. 

Loving wife of the late Claude C. Ruffino for 42 years. Daughter of the late 
Joseph H. Binder, Jr. and Elveria "Vera" Aromi Binder. Beloved Mother of 
Claudia R. Bourgeois (Kevin, Sr.) and Karen R. Frederickson (Wayne). 
Grandmother of Chad (Jennifer), Kevin (Amy) and Corey Frederickson, and Douglas 
Frickey, Jr. Great-grandmother of Kay, Dylan, and William. Sister of Joseph H. 
Binder, III, (Jean) and Gerald "Jerry" J. Binder (Ruth). 

Born in New Orleans, lived in Chalmette, and resided in Slidell. A Holy Angels 
graduate, secretary for St. Mary of the Angels, a Pepperidge Farm distributor, 
and later employed by Paralyzed Veterans. 
Carolyn was dedicated to "Sandy" her Maltese. She was a devout Catholic, 
devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend to all and will be greatly 
missed. 

Special thanks to her sitter, Jennifer Pembo. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation are preferred.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates 
Blvd., Slidell on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 2:45 pm. Church visitation from 
1:00 pm until Mass time. 

Interment following at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, Chalmette.
