JEAN ROBISON WERNER, 73, born in Daytona Beach, Florida, died of complications 
of cancer on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at her home. 

Jean was a stay at home Mom and very active in the community. She wrote a 
column called Slidell Southside in the Times Picayune for a number of years and 
took community related pictures for the paper. She taught Math at Our Lady of 
Lourdes School for a short while. She was active in Abney, St. Tammany Junior 
High and Salmen High School, assisting in classroom activities and with the 
PTA. She was involved with the organization of the Special Education Department 
with the St. Tammany Parish School Board. She held many different offices in 
Home Owner’s and other civic and social organizations. She volunteered for over 
twenty years at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Jean is survived by her husband, Mark Werner; three children: Steven Werner 
(wife Stacy Hunt) of Nebraska, Sandra Werner of Slidell, and Patricia Remond 
(husband John) of Slidell; four grandchildren: Jacob Werner, William Werner, 
Justin Remond, and Brian Remond; and a brother: William Robison of Florida.
Memorial Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon.

Memorial Gifts may be made to Animal Shelters and Cancer Research.
