Beloved wife of the late Austin G. Beasley, Sr. for 58 years. Mother of Austin Beasley, Jr. (Marty), Kenny Beasley (Cindy), Susie Beasley, and Tommy Beasley. Grandmother of Josh Beasley (Anna), Nathan Beasley, Danial Beasley (Diana), Bobby Beasley, and Grace D. Beasley. Great grandmother of Greg Beasley, Lily Beasley, and Audry Beasley. Sister of Mary Herd. Aunt of Sonjia Campista (Michael) and Michelle Katos (Vaka). Great aunt of Jonathan Campista (Courtney). Great great aunt of Vaka, Jr., Jeremiah, Nathan, and Landry. Age 80 years; a native of Kildad, KY and a resident of Slidell for the past 47 years. Mrs. Beasley had a kind heart and was a friend to many. She was a fierce advocate for women’s bowling to the very end. She had spent many years on the Northshore Women’s Bowling Association Board, serving as both Director and Treasurer, and was bestowed the honor of Lifetime Member. She attended many state and national meetings. After the bowling associations merged, she continued to support the board by attending various meetings and countless volunteering. In fact, just the day before her death, she was assisting with the Women’s and Men’s City Tournament. Throughout her bowling career she belonged to many leagues and participated in untold amounts of tournaments. Often times she was on the winning teams for the leagues. She also achieved many bowling awards. One tournament that she was especially proud of was being crowned Queen of the Tournament by SWBA President Violet Moore. She was loved deeply and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and on Saturday morning from 9:00am until 11:00am.
