EDWARD R. DUMESTRE, JR., of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 
at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Beloved husband of the late Alva Rita Savoie Dumestre.
Father of Cynthia Dumestre Rodney and husband Eric H. Rodney.
Son of the late Edward R. Sr. and Rose Dumestre.
Brother of Robert Dumestre and Rosemary Breedlove.
Also survived by 3 grandchildren; Katrina Lynne Bartos, Kevin Rene’ Rodney, and 
Kerri Anne Rodney; and 9 great grandchildren, Lauren Bartos, Kailey Bartos, 
McKenna Bartos, Quinten Rodney, Michaela Rodney, Logan Rodney, Gracie Rodney, 
Criss Salazar, and Gabriel Salazar.

Age 84 years; a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Slidell since 1984. 
Mr. Dumestre was a retired Machinist for the American Can Company in New 
Orleans, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 
9:00am until 11:00am. 

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
