Larry James “Jake” Jacobs passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the age 66.

Beloved husband of Janice Aloel Malley Jacobs for 44 years. Father of Karen 
Aleta Spears (James) and Jeffery Mark Jacobs (Laura). Paw Paw of Olivia 
Christeene Jacobs, Isabella Grace and Sophia Katherine Spears. Brother of 
Edward Joseph Jacobs (Rita) and Bernard “Benny” Frederick Jacobs (Janette). Son 
of the late Frederick Joseph and Bernadine Gertrude Jacobs. Son-in-law of the 
late John and Christeene Malley.

He was the owner-operator of Industrial Erection and Maintenance, Inc. for 36 
years. He enjoyed hunting, served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict 
and was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Covington. Born in 
New Orleans, he lived most of his life in Waldheim, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on 
Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Visitation on Friday from 10:00 AM until 
service time. 

Interment in Barker-McManus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Larry Jacobs 
Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church of Covington, 203 N. Jefferson 
Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
