M. Virginia Kennedy passed away Monday, April 29, 2013. 

She was born July 01, 1939 in New Orleans to Clyde W. and Audrey Whitlock 
Kennedy and has been a resident of Ponchatoula since 1986.

The beloved mother of three daughters, Linda Peres (Mike), Karen Sofio 
(Lindsay), Peggy Pazos (Michael), she is survived by her life long friend, 
Louise Bosworth. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Wayne Kennedy, Sr. 
(Robin); three sisters: Shirley Doucet (Tommy), Carol Emfinger and Genevieve 
Ford (Kenneth); nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of 
nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Kennedy and one 
sister, Mary Evelyn Cognevich.

Known by her students as "Mrs. Hulin", Virginia was a teacher at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor School in Westwego for over 16 years. She also taught for over 10 
years in the Jefferson Parish Public School system, where she was known by her 
students and colleagues as Ms. Kennedy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on 
Thursday, May 02, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place Wednesday, May 01, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM with 
visiting hours beginning Thursday at 9:00 AM.

Interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, LA 
is scheduled for Thursday at 1:30 PM.
