He was born June 18, 1991 in Hattiesburg, MS and has been a resident of Mandeville since 1995. Seth attended Saint Paul’s School in Covington, LA and served in the United States Air Force. The beloved son of Philip Brian and Carlon Porche Mangrum, he is survived by his daughter, Presley Nicole Mangrum; one sister, Chandler C. Mangrum; two brothers, Zachary C. and Greyson P. Mangrum; his grandparents: Anita and Charles Porche and Sarah Mangrum and his great grandmother, Clydie Porche. He was nephew to Mike and Tricia Mangrum, Charles, III, Charlon and Corey Porche. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Mangrum and great grandparents: Charles Porche, Sr., Verdie and George St. Julien. Seth had a fun-loving spirit and a “heart of gold.” He could brighten up a room with his smile when he walked through the door. He was a loving son and brother to his family and someone who could be counted on by his friends. He lived and loved life to its fullest. Blessed with the skills and a real passion for working with his hands, Seth could always be found working on his car or on other projects around the house. Early careers in construction and landscaping reflected this passion. Most recently he used these skills working as a boilermaker for Turner Industries in Norco, LA. But above all else, he was most passionate about his two year old daughter Presley Nicole, with whom he spent every possible moment. She was truly the greatest joy of his life. A wake is scheduled to take place from 6-9:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. A funeral mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA 70448 will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 26, 2013. Visitation at the church Friday will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow mass. Seth's family is creating a fund with Resource Bank to be used for Presley's education.
