James Fred Meiners passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Covington, LA. 

He was born, Monday, September 05, 1938 in Mandeville, LA to Henry Meiners, Sr. 
and Irma Thomas Meiners and was a life resident of West St. Tammany Parish.

The beloved husband of Anita Simmons Meiners, he is survived by six children: 
Tina Williams, Stephanie Phelps, Shelly Meiners, Jamie Jacobson, Amy Wise and 
Marty Meiners; two brothers, Mike and Goggie Meiners; 11 grandchildren and one 
great grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Henry, Jr., Carlyle 
and Joseph Meiners.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon 
on Friday, May 03, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place Thursday, May 02, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM with 
visiting hours beginning at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow 
services.
