Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2013/st1304.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== On April 25, 2013 at the age of 45 after a two and a half year courageous battle with brain cancer, Raymond Jude Ohler, Jr., a much loved and admired husband, father, son, and friend left this world and entered the Golden gates of Heaven. He was the cherished husband of Kimberly Cavignac Ohler for 21 years. Loving father of Ashley Rae Ohler and Raymond Jude Ohler, III. Son of Raymond Jude Ohler, Sr. and Peggy Munn Ohler. Brother of Jeffrey Scott Ohler (Stephanie), grandson of the late Ruby Ervin Munn, Arthur Munn, Mary Owens Ohler, and Lawrence Ohler. Son-in-law of Raymond Robert Cavignac, Jr. and Bonnie Hernandez Cavignac. Brother-in-law of Christy and Sammy Shahine. Favorite uncle of Devin Christopher Shahine, Jeffrey and Jude Ohler, and the late Casey Shahine. Ray graduated from Chalmette High School and LSU. He served in the Louisiana Army National Guard for 8 honorable years as a Crew Chief on the 1/244 Aviation Battalion. During his college years, Ray was the proud owner of “Kool Kat Snowballs” then went on as owner of Ray Ohler Insurance Agency (Allstate) for the last 17 years. Ray has been a proud and active member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Mens Club for over 10 years. He is deeply loved by all and will forever be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, life of the party, but most of all as “GARFISH RAY”. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of M.D. Anderson and Notre Dame Hospice, and all the friends and family who stepped up in times of need, but most of all a loving thanks to Christy Cavignac Shahine for her care and compassion when it was needed most. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery, Davis Cemetery Rd., Abita Springs, LA.
