David Jude Sliman passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Beloved husband of Lorraine Romagosa Sliman for 48 years. Father of Lauren S. 
Shallenberger (Kurt), Wendy Sliman and Leslee S. Bivalacqua (Trinity). 
Grandfather of Greta, Peter and Ben Shallenberger, Zoey, Julian and Parker-
Annie Bivalacqua. Son of the late Mercedes Roussel (George) and Camile Sliman.

Age 73 years. A member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He received the Order of 
St. Louis IX Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. He was a graduate 
of Jesuit High School in 1957 and attended Tulane University. He loved his 
little dog Buffy, the outdoors, gardening and was an avid fisherman. A native 
of New Orleans and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 20 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA on Thursday, 
April 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 10:00 AM until 
service time. 

Inurnment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer masses or donations to St. Peter 
Catholic Church Building Fund or the Food Bank of Covington, 840 N. Columbia 
St., Covington, LA 70433.
