CAMP, SAMUEL DAVID 
May 11, 2013  -  May 11, 2013

SAMUEL DAVID CAMP, of Slidell, LA, arrived stillborn into the loving arms of 
his parents, Kathryn Roper Camp and Carl Hayden Camp of Slidell, at Slidell 
Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

A loving sister, Kelly Wynn Camp, of Slidell, loving grandparents David G. and 
Pearl “Kitty” Moran Roper, of Slidell, and Samuel M. and Judith McCalman Camp, 
of Covington, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. 

His brief but purposeful life in his mother’s womb was recognized and honored 
with a beautiful graveside service led by Pastor Lane Cotton Winn of Aldersgate 
United Methodist Church of Slidell, including words by Pastor Waylon Bailey of 
First Baptist Church of Covington, a dedication by his mother, and a live 
monarch butterfly release.

The private service and internment were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 
Gause Blvd., Slidell, LA, on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
