Ethel was raised in Folsom, LA and a resident of Pearl River, LA for the last 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Eula Sandifer Breland, brothers Louis and Harvey Breland, sister Idell Walden, Daughter’s Mary Mayfield Breland, Margaret Walker, and grandchildren Nelson Sharp, Donald Sharp, Thomas Walker, and Benjamin Walker. Widow of William (Buddy) Walker, Thomas Hankins and Leon Clark. She will be dearly missed by her surviving children; Maxine and Charles Crawford, Mona and Clark Smith, Melody Martindale and David Blessing, Michael Walker and Donna D’Andria, Martin Walker and Shawn Allen, and her grandchildren; Tammy Crawford, Teresa Smith Weaver, Bobby Spinks, Angela Martindale Walker, Christopher Breland, Melissa Gaff Howell, Angel Gaff Davis, Michael Walker, Stephanie Walker Craddock and Sheridan Walker. Ethel was the grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Her loving hands worked many hard days as a short order cook at the Tower Drive Inn (now LA Pines) and for Gambino’s Seafood Restaurant. She loved nature, working her gardens and raising the many farm animals. In her early years she made many of her children clothes out of the beautiful prints of the feed sacks, and after retirement she shared quality time with many of her friends quilting. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River, LA 70452 on Thursday May 9, 2013 at 2 pm, with visitation from 10 am until 2pm.
