Marilyn Autin Gorgas passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the age of 87.

Beloved wife of the late Irvin Joseph Gorgas. Loving mother of Bill Mayfield, 
David Mayfield, Ginger Mayfield and the late Rita Munez. Daughter of the late 
Hazel Hebert Autin and Henry Joseph Autin. Sister of Patricia Moreau and the 
late Betty Bosley and Henry J. Autin, Jr. Grandmother of Semmes Blankenship, 
Bobby Blankenship, Kellie Helms, Mark Melancon, Keri Mayfield, Kara Travers, 
Kasey Mayfield and the late Scott Blankenship. Also survived by twenty great-
grandchildren.

For many years she was a waitress where everyone knew her as “Grandma.” After 
she retired she was active with the American Legion, the VFW and St. Benedict 
Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on 
Saturday, May 25, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, 
Covington, LA 70433 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday from 09:00 AM until 
Mass time.

Interment will follow in JM Fussell Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses or contributions in memory of 
Mrs. Gorgas to be made to the American Legion or the VFW.
