Robert R. Snider, Sr., age 66, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013. 

A resident of Covington for most of his life, he worked for Bellsouth for over 
30 years. After his retirement, he took every opportunity to spend time with 
family and friends at his Camp Villere Hunting Club. 
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served time overseas and also served 
for many years on the District 8 Volunteer Fire Department in Waldheim.

The beloved son of the late Robert E. and Mary Dutsch Snider, he is survived by 
three daughters: Karri Lynn Snider, Whitney Lea Snider and Sophie Michelle 
Snider; one son, Robert R. Snider, Jr., his wife Gina; two sisters, Patricia 
Schabla, husband Arthur, and Darlynn Mitchell, her husband Mark; one brother, 
Harry Snider; his sister-in-law, Kathleen Harrison and five grandchildren: 
Dalton Snider, Dusty Williams, Chase Broadus, Kristen Snider and Ray Avilez. 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Harrison.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on 
Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM with 
visitation on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM.

Interment at the Waldheim Methodist Church Cemetery will immediately follow 
services.
