Allen, a proud father and grandfather, is survived by his wife Ruth and their six children Joseph Chauffe of Katy, TX, Melinda DeLand and Colleen Tobler of Glendale, AZ, Mark Chauffe of Covington, LA, Marianne King of Mandeville, LA, and Lucy Molinari of Dallas, GA. Allen will be deeply missed by his twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as many friends and relatives. A veteran of the Korean War, Allen was a true patriot. He had a great passion for flying airplanes and playing golf with his family and friends, and could usually be found watching LSU football games and the PGA Tour. He bowled in many leagues, being most proud of the 300 he once shot. Allen retired from an extensive career spanning over 50 years in the Oil industry as a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Superintendent, relocating him to Alaska, Singapore, Australia, and Brazil. Upon retiring from Atwood Oceanics in Katy, TX, Allen and his loving wife resided in Arizona before returning to Mandeville in 2011. Services for Allen will be held on Thursday, June 13 at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471. Visitation will be held at 11:00am, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Allen’s name to the American Heart Association. ===================
