Raymond Thaddeus "Thad" Cousin peacefully entered into heaven on Monday, June 
24, 2013 at 50 years of age. 
He was surrounded by his family. 

Thaddeus was born December 17, 1962 in Covington and was a lifelong resident of 
Lacombe. 

He was the son of the late Raymond and Onelia Cousin. 

Thaddeus was educated in public schools of St. Tammany Parish and graduated 
from Mandeville High School in 1981. 
He joined the Army National Guard Reserve and served for 6 years. He worked for 
several years as a deputy for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Dep. and was a 
security officer by trade. 
Family was important in Thad's life, especially his four grandchildren. You 
could see the joy in his eyes when they would visit and he loved the closeness 
of home and family. Thad had a special relationship with each one of his 
siblings, nephews and nieces. He stayed in close touch with nephew John, Jr. 
and cousin, Jacques. He also had a close and loving relationship with his 
"Earth Angels" 
He was a fantastic cook and his family and friends enjoyed his cooking, 
especially his red beans and rice. He also enjoyed looking at the cooking 
channel and The Young and the Restless. 
Thad also enjoyed sports, loved the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, Southern 
Jaguars, but was a loyal New England Patriots fan. He stayed in close touch 
with nephews, John Jr., Gregory, Jr. and cousin Jacques. 

Father of Whitney (Sam) Cousin and Neil Cousin. Grandfather of Shelby, Spencer, 
Samia and Sam, Jr. Brother of Forrest and Paul, Sr., Kathern (Charles) Carroll 
and Eunice (George) Shands and the late John Edison, David and Victor Cousin, 
Yvette Narcisse and girlfriend Brenda Williams and godfather Lawrence Cryer. 
Godchild of Ida Boutte and Godfather of Paul Cousin, Jr. Brother-in-law of 
Alice Cousin, and Kevin Narcisse. Survived by his "Earth Angels" Andrea 
Laurant, Ann Laurent, Ena Reimoneuq, Laurie Laurent, Marva Jean Jones and a 
host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lacombe, LA on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 
am. Visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until Mass time. 

A private interment will take place at Osay Ordogne Cemetery at a later time.
