C. Preston Crawford passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. 

He was born January 10, 1937 to Monroe L. and Emma P. Crawford in New Orleans, 
LA and has been a resident of Abita Springs since 1962.

The beloved husband of Betty Collins Crawford, he is survived by his son – 
Brian P. Crawford (Lynn); one daughter - Cheryl A. Crawford (Charles Grantham); 
two granddaughters - Kelly Kahoe Schlenker and Katie Lynn Crawford and two 
great grandsons, W. Andrew Schlenker III and Ashton Schlenker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister - Julia Kennedy; four 
brothers - Lennie, Archie, Ewell and Elaos "Nick" Crawford and his faithful 
companion, Mike.

Preston was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and the owner of Crawford 
and Son Dozer and Trucking for over 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who 
loved hunting and fishing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 12 Noon on 
Friday, June 21, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours will begin Friday at 10:00 AM.

Interment at the Abita Springs Cemetery will follow services.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Humane Society of Louisiana, 
P.O. Box 854 Franklinton, LA 70438.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the special care 
provided by the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the ICU at Lakeview Regional 
Medical Center in Covington
