He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Grace Fridley (nee LeCamus), 2 daughters, Phala Powell (Robert), Andrea Gremillion (Paul), 2 sons, Lyle Fridley (Debra), Wendell Fridley (Sharon), 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first born Warner Fridley. Lloyd was born in New Iberia, LA in 1924. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Navy and engaged in action in the Pacific Theatre of World War II as a “Gunner’s Mate” aboard an “LST” transport vessel. He returned after the war and married the love of his life, and raised 5 children, through the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. He retired from Naval Publications and Printing after a long career. He will be remembered for his kindness and love that he freely shared with anyone who came to know him. Visitation will be held for the family and friends at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 1:00pm until 9:00pm and on Thursday morning at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy. 433, Slidell, LA from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell, LA. ===================
