HARVEL, JAMES ARTHUR, SR 

James Arthur Harvel Sr. age 76 passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at 3:27 pm 
surrounded by his children and loved ones. 

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 yrs Christine Moore Harvel, 
his son Matthew V. Harvel, parents Arthur Reynolds Harvel and Laura Wyble 
Harvel, and his brother David P. Harvel.

Mr. Harvel is survived by Catherine Harvel Lucas, James A. Harvel Jr., Bonnie 
Beham and James A. Beham, Lonnie Davis III, Kathy A. Burge, Chandler R. Harvel 
and Jamie H. Lassiter. He also had 32 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mr. Harvel retired after 26 yrs from Tidewater Marine as a Chief Engineer on a 
supply vessel. Upon retiring he also worked for Leon Lowe and Sons and retired 
as the best dozer operator Mr. Toby ever had. Words can not express the 
gratitude of the Harvel family to the Lowe family.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2013 at 12 pm from the chapel 
of D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River, LA 70452.
Visitation is on Tuesday from 10 am until 12 pm at the funeral home.

Interment was held at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearl River, LA.
