Helen Wentzell Hiatt passed from this life on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the age 
of 89 surrounded by her family. 

A native of New Orleans and lived on the Northshore for the past 8 years. 

Wife of the late Walter Frank Hiatt. Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Frederick 
DeGrasse. Wonderful mother and mother-in-law of Barbara Theriot (Gene), Jane 
"Inez" Peters (Ron), Jackie Shaw (Ronnie), Betty Gallodora (Jimmy), Wanda 
Wentzell, Billy Wentzell and Ronnie Wentzell. Sister of Mary Ann Calia, Kay 
Lemoine, Joseph DeGrasse, Delores Knight and the late Frederick DeGrasse, Sarah 
Parta, Mickey DeGrasse and Ethel Ives. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Angie 
(Brian), Tina, Alisha, Shannan, Renee, Veronica, David, Michelle, Melissa, Amy, 
Kim, Buffy and Troy. Also survived by 24 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on 
Monday, June 17, 2013 at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, LA at 
7:00 pm. 

A private interment will take place at a later time.
