James Wallace King II passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the age of 54.

Loving father of William Raleigh King and Jesse Matthew King. Son of Eula Mae 
Clairain and James Wallace King. Brother of Karla King, Eric King, Joey King, 
and Rhonda Hopkins.

James King, better known as “Jay or Jaybird” by his friends and family, was 
born on July 15th, 1958. A lifelong resident of Covington, LA, Jay loved being 
outdoors and spending time with his boys. He was creative in many aspects from 
arts and cooking, to mechanics and construction projects.

Jay enjoyed helping others any way he could and will be greatly missed by the 
many people he touched throughout his lifetime. In honoring Jay, the family 
asks that good deeds to others be passed along.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the service on 
Saturday, July 6, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, 
Covington, LA 70433. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM with the service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mr. King to 
be made at any Whitney or Hancock Bank under the “Jaybird King Memorial Fund”.
