Jesse C. Gardner passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at his home in Covington. 
He was born January 28, 1942 to Woodie Swan and Minnie Mae Dewberry Gardner in 
Jentry, MS.

The beloved husband of Ruthie Mae Rogers Gardner for 46 years, he is survived 
by his daughter - Ruth Gardner Damare', her husband Joseph; three sons – Billy, 
his wife Jina, Jesse, Jr., his wife Michelle and W. Casey Gardner; 10 
grandchildren - Michael, IV and Zachary Leonard, Brittany and Jessica Damare', 
Samantha Maxwell and her husband Brian, Cole, Landry, Blaine, Ian and Eliana 
Gardner; 3 great grandchildren - Zander, Jordyn and Lorelei Maxwell. He is also 
survived by four sisters and three brothers. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Mr. Gardner moved his family to Covington in 1974 to Pastor The Church of God 
of Prophecy. 
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and also worked as a Master Mechanic for more 
than 40 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:00 AM on 
Thursday, July 18, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM with 
visitation beginning Thursday morning at 9:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will immediately follow services.
