HORACE J. GAUPP, JR., of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 
Regency Hospital in Covington, LA.

Beloved husband of Annice Elaine Allen Gaupp.
Father of Deanna C. Talbot (Maurice), Jack C. Cooley, II (Lisa), and Amanda C. 
Cooper (Brent).
Grandson of the late Canary Gaupp.
Son of the late Horace J. Gaupp, Sr. and Hattie Gaupp.
Brother of Annzel Gaupp, Hattie Nelms, and Tina Harrington.
Brother-in-law of Darlene Allen.
Also survived by 9 grandchildren, Aimee Colwell, Mary, Rebecca, and Maurice 
Talbot, II, Traci, Nicole, Emily, and Regan Cooley, and Bryce Cooper; and 6 
great grandchildren, Dylan and Caleb Colwell, Thomas Morea, Shaun and Brandon 
Brown, and Aaliyah Francis.

Age 61 years; a native of New Orleans, a former resident of Violet, LA and most 
recently a resident of Slidell, LA. Mr. Gaupp was a former Deputy Sherriff for 
New Orleans Sheriff’s Office and most recently owned and operated a Jani-King 
Franchise in New Orleans, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at First Pentecostal Church, 388 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Tuesday, 
July 9, 2013 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00am until 
11:00am. 

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
