Beloved son of the late Ysonde Foudriat Hanle and Ray Louis Hanle, Sr. Ray loved and was loved by many, including his sons, Greg, Jeff and Steve; his brothers, Glenn and Arlen; his sister, Eileen; and his departed first wife Margie. He especially loved his grandchildren, Chelsey, Jack, Alison, Nick and Tommy. He also loved and was loved by his second wife Mary Lou and her family. As a child and teen Ray was an athlete and a scholar. He graduated from Holy Cross High School, Tulane University and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. As a man, Ray was a fighter pilot, an engineer and a leader. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps for twenty years, including two tours in Vietnam. He had a successful second career as an executive in the aerospace industry. Relatives and friends of Ray and the family are invited to attend the memorial Mass at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W. Metairie Ave, Metairie, LA 70003, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time. Committal services will be in St. Bernard Memorial Garden Mausoleum, 701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043 following Mass at 3:00 PM.
