Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2013/st1307.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Anthony (“Tony”) Peter Paul Joseph Kirsch, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away peacefully at his home on July 3, 2013. He is survived by his three children; Roma Angela Kirsch (children-Jared and Jayden), daughter of Roma Giangrosso; Anthony Peter Kirsch, III (children-Lukas and Navi), son of Teresa Ann Litereal; and Guillaume Soniat Kirsch, son of Alice Bouligny Lapeyre. The union with a fourth mate, Giselle Marie Grenier, produced no children. Tony is also survived by his mother, Jean Marie Soniat Dufousat Dubuisson Kirsch, five sisters: Christine Marie Karl (Michael), Marilyn Marie Fourcade (Larry), Louise Marie Durr (Peter), Barbara Ann Kirsch and Dorothea Ann Howard (Nick), and a sole brother Christopher Lawrence Kirsch (Dorie). Tony was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Peter Raymond Kirsch, and sister Geraldine Ann Kirsch. T-shirt Tony was an artist, father, brother, friend, entrepreneur, native New Orleanian, history buff, picker, Carnival aficionado and genealogist. In 1984, Tony started After Hours T-shirt printing and later changed its name to AbsurdiTee when he moved the shop to Maple Street. The shop was once again moved to Oak Street until its demise during Hurricane Katrina. He was also a collector and dealer of high quality vintage toys and collectibles, and had a shop called Stuff Mom Threw Out years ago, which was on Decatur Street and later moved to River Road. Tony had a personality larger than life, would delight the crowds with his funny stories of grandeur and will be missed by many. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, LA on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at the Dubuisson Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
