She was born October 26, 1929 in Springfield, LA to the late Robert W. Wall and Annie Celma Hunt Wall, married Fred L. Rogers on March 13, 1948 in Tylertown Mississippi and in 1957, settled in Covington Louisiana to raise her family. She and Fred were married for 65 years and lived a full life together raising a beautiful family. She is survived by four children: Cindy Rogers (fiance Ken Kahao Jr.), Becky R. Holliday (Derrell), Randy Rogers (Julie) and Fred D. Rogers (Dodie);one brother, Darrel Wall; nine grandchildren, Holly Flattmann, Austin Green (Tia), Carrie Granier (Michael), Jolleen Post, Clint Holliday (Becky), Amanda Spinks (Russ), Sarah Francingues, Alison Rogers, and Amie Rogers. She was known as G-Ma to her 16 great-grandchildren: Julia, Layne, Caleb, Randi Lynn, Reagan, Michael, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Emma, Ella, Raelynn, Christian, Taylor, Roman, Remy, and Levi. Carol McLain was a sweet friend to the family who helped Fred and Frances in her final days. She was preceded in death by her sister, Trilbey Moss and one brother, Vernon “Bud” Wall. Frances Rogers knew the name of every living thing in the forest and taught us all about the constellations in the night sky. She was a compassionate woman who loved to cook and care for others. She was a painter, a seamstress, and loved to tell stories on the front porch swing. The Keebler Tree was a favorite meeting place for family and friends. Children and adults alike would gather to listen as G-ma shared stories of the Keebler Elves. She adored her husband and the love they had for each other was immeasurable. In their 65 years she prepared approximately 71,175 meals from scratch for her family and friends. She never complained about it, everything she did came from her heart. May her spirit live on inside each of us, and may we pass on to future generations the same love and compassion she gave each and every day. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
