FRANK DWAYNE SHOCKLEY, age 88, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, 
July 23, 2013, in Slidell.

Beloved husband of Shirley Knieper Shockley for 65 years; Loving father of 
Dwayne Shockley (wife Charlene), Keith Shockley Sr. (wife Pat), Craig Shockley 
(wife Janet), and Dale Shockley Sr. (wife Sherry); also survived by twelve 
grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and a 
dear sister: Berneice Shockley Morris (husband Johnny) of Dermott, Arkansas.

Mr. Shockley was preceded in death by his parents: A.M. “Kenny” and Bertha 
Walker Shockley; and five brothers: Ernest Shockley, Alfred Shockley, T.H. 
“Hendrix” Shockley, T.W. Shockley, and H.M. “Mac” Shockley.

He was a native of Boydell, Arkansas, and a resident of Slidell, Louisiana, for 
the past 65 years. He was the owner of Shockley Shell Yard before he retired, 
and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:30 A.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 9:00am.

Burial will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Notre Dame Hospice, Synergy 
Home Health Care, and his caregivers who lovingly attended to him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Foundation of the South, 
501 Robert Blvd #304, Slidell, LA 70458.
