Rocky A. "The Rock" Jacobs, Sr. passed away at this home on Saturday morning, 
August 24, 2013 the age of 58. 

Born in New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for the last 25 years. 

Beloved husband of Gladys P. Jacobs for 41 years. Son of Gerald Jacobs, Sr. and 
Miriam Vortisch and the late Adolph Vortisch. Devoted father of Rocky A. 
Jacobs, Jr. and wife Toni, Armando J. Jacobs, Jason P. Jacobs, and Armando 
Jacobs Nata. Brother of Miriam Murphy, Gerald Jacobs, Jr., Keith Jacobs, 
Virginia Hallock, William Vortisch, Lydia Perret, George Vortisch, and the late 
Armando Jacobs. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Grandfather of Luke 
A. and Meadow A. Jacobs.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service 
on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church, 
4921 W. Metairie Ave, Metairie at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the church from 
10:00 until service time. 

Interment immediately following at Garden of Memories, Airline Drive, Metairie. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to help defer funeral costs are appreciated.
