THOMAS, LOYDE WILLIAM 

Loyde William Thomas beloved husband of Katie Cox Thomas who passed away May 
2011, died at the age of 88 on August 9th of natural causes. 

Loyde Thomas, retiree of Twenty-three years from Lockheed Martin, was born 
February 19, 1925 to Walter Calvin Thomas and Eva Thompson Thomas. 
Mr. Thomas had one brother; Glen H. Thomas who died in 1985, and is survived by 
three sons, Larry Wayne Thomas, David Alan Thomas, and Billy Carl Thomas; two 
daughters, Barbara Thomas Hall, and Peggy Thomas Bates. 
Loyde Thomas also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

Mr. Thomas was WW11 Army veteran with the 79th infantry division in Germany. 
He was captured and served as a prisoner of war for 6 months until liberated by 
the Russian army during their march toward Berlin. 

The funeral service is to be at the Williams funeral Home in Pearl River, La. 
on August 15th visitation from 10:00am until 11:00am service beginning at 
11:00am. 

Interment at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery 
also located in Pearl River, La.
