Beloved wife of Joseph R. Brown (married 59 years) before he preceded her in 2005, and mother of 1 daughter; Paulette Brown Healy, Roswell, GA and 2 sons; Randall Charles Brown, Richmond, TX and Keith Joseph Brown, Slidell, La. Also survived by 7 Grandchildren: Jennifer Healy Rooney, Michael Shawn Healy, Christy Brown Russo, Lauren Brown, Shawn Brown, Erin Brown, David Martinez; 6 Great Grandchildren: Brittany Healy, Madeline Healy, William Healy, Bronson Russo, Brennan Russo, Savannah Brown; and 1 Great Great Grandchild: Braxton Healy Lawler. She was the last surviving sister of the late Iris C. Cadow, Dolores C. Robichaux and William Arthur Cadow Jr. Lorraine was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Josephine Trauth Cadow. Lorraine was a native of New Orleans and resident of Slidell since 1963. As a Graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing of New Orleans, she practiced her nursing career with “The Daughters of Charity” until she began her lifelong career as wife, mother and grandmother and the ‘exclusive health practitioner’ of her extended family and the many close friends and neighbors who became her ‘patients’ from time to time. She was committed to the love and care of her family and friends. Lorraine also had a deep commitment to her faith and a love and a revered respect for the natural world which she regarded as ‘A Part of God’s Creation and Gifts to us all’. Her love of nature led her to becoming an avid gardener and often said it was in the serenity of being surrounded with plants and flowers she felt at Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (in FOREST LAWN CEMETARY), Slidell, LA on Friday, September 20, 2013. Public visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
