Beloved Husband of Betty Sue Hooper and by the previous marriage to the late Iris Schexnayder Hooper. Loving father of Irita Claire Hooper Angelico(Joseph) and Walter Joseph Hooper(Cindy). Son of the late Cecil Fabian Hooper and Caro St. Martin Hooper. Brother of Beverly Hooper Hebert, Margarite Hooper Schexnayder and the late Anna Hooper Leverette. Proud grandfather of Stefanie Angelico Gourgues and Melissa Angelico Gourgues. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marion was a native of Reserve, La., a longtime resident of Metaire and for the past 10 years a resident of Slidell. He was a retired member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local # 60. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 185 . He spent many treasured moments with his special friends at the Landing in Slidell reminicising and enjoying their pot luck luncheons. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his quick wit, personality, a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.
