Irene Tyler Jordan, 95, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, in Baton 
Rouge, LA.

She was born on Saturday, March 23, 1918 in Beaufort, NC to Phillip N. and 
Irene Neal Thomas.

Maxie was the beloved wife of the late Harry Tyler for 52 years. She has been 
married to David Jordan for the past 13 years.

She was the loving mother of Charlotte T. Cole, and her husband Barry, and 
Karen T. Hanley, and her husband, Steve. Maxie was the sister of Lucille 
"Cindy" Woodward, Frances Dickens and Addie Carrow Whitley. She will be dearly 
missed by her 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will also be 
missed by Jane J. Gayle, Mary J. Irving, and Anne J. Crochet.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st 
Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until 
service time. 

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Maxie Jordan 
be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America
