Shirley Fitzmorris McCann, a life resident of Covington, LA, died on Tuesday, 
September 10, 2013. 
She was Born, Sunday, July 18, 1937 to Hardy and Rachel Sharp Fitzmorris.

The beloved wife of Owen Roy McCann, she is survived by two sons - Hardy Roy 
McCann (Sonja) and James Robert McCann (Rebecca); two brothers - James 
Fitzmorris and Wallace Fitzmorris (Beth); three sisters: Lois Fitzmorris, Lynn 
Fitzmorris and Sandra Sharp (Terry); four grandchildren: Blake, Jamie 
(Samantha), Colton and Cameron and two great-grandchildren - Shealynn and 
Brody. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 3:30 PM on 
Thursday, September 12, 2013 at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Baptist 
Church Rd., Covington, LA 70435.

Visiting hours at the church will begin Thursday at 1:30 PM.

Interment at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Covington, LA will immediately follow 
services.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the New Zion Baptist Church Lunch 
Ministry or to the Church's Building Fund.
