Marie Kiefer Messa passed away on September 3, 2013. 
She was 91 years of age. Mrs. 

Messa was the widow James C. Messa, Sr., and the mother of Sharon M. Williams, 
Donna M. Ammons, James C. Messa, Jr., and the late Rita Mae Williams. She is 
also survived by her grandsons Eric I. Ammons, Jonathan J. Messa, and Gregory 
W. Rome and also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A native of New Orleans, LA, Mrs. Messa lived for 55 years in Chalmette, LA 
until displaced by Hurricane Katrina. 

In her last years, she resided in Mandeville, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington on Monday, September 9, 2013 
at 12:30 pm. Visitation at the funeral home from 10:30 am until service time. 

Interment immediately following at St. Louis I Cemetery, Basin Street, New 
Orleans.
