David Paul Ruffino, a Special Agent with the Office of Homeland Security's 
Secret Service, passed away on Monday, September 09, 2013 in Fredericksburg, 
VA. 
A native of New Orleans, LA, David moved to Abita Springs, LA on the Northshore 
at an early age and had been stationed to work in Washington D.C. for the past 
nine years. He was 46 years old.

The beloved husband of Christine Cook Ruffino, he is survived by two daughters 
- Emma Claire and Chloe Anne Ruffino; his mother - Raphael Mendoza Ruffino; one 
brother - Jason Victor Ruffino, wife Rebecca and their son Jonathan; his mother 
and father-in-law, Patricia and Donald Cook and one sister-in-law - Teresa C. 
Sitler, her husband John and their children: Brady, Carson and Sam. 

He was preceded in death by his father - Victor Ruffino, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at 12:00 Noon 
on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral home, 2260 W. 21st 
Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 10:00 AM.

A college scholarship fund for SA Ruffino's daughters, Emma (age 10) and Chloe 
(age 9), has been established through the USSS Employee Recreation Association. 
Those wishing to contribute should reference “Ruffino Family" on the memo line 
and make checks payable to the USSS-ERA and mail them to:
