Eileen Porter Taix, a resident of Covington since 2005, passed away on Sunday, 
September 22, 2013. 
She was born, Friday, September 13, 1946 in New Orleans to Monroe Leonard 
Porter, Jr. and May Rita Hecker Porter.

The beloved wife of Lucien J. Taix, she is survived by two sons - Fred James 
(Julie) and Daniel Taix (Cindy); two sisters - Sandra Carnaggio and Marilyn 
Matar; one brother - Charles Porter and four grandchildren: Ian and Phoebe James 
and Danielle and Marissa Taix.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother - Armond Porter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on 
Friday, September 27, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled to take place Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM at 
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home. Visitation on Friday will be from 10:00 AM until 
service time.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will immediately follow services.
